Dear Luminosity family,
This may not come as a surprise, but we regret to inform you that due to the Coronavirus outbreak, we have to postpone the 2020 edition of Luminosity Beach Festival in June.
The Dutch government have just announced in a press conference that all events and gatherings are still forbidden this summer, until September 1.
This unfortunately means that we won’t be able to host this year’s festival in Zandvoort or the after party in Club Panama, Amsterdam.
We are absolutely gutted to bring you this news, we know all of you were really looking forward to party together on the beach and so were we! At this time, we completely understand this decision from the government and with so many visitors from all around the world, everyone’s health and safety is our main priority.
The good news: We’ve already been able to secure a date for next year. Luminosity Beach Festival 2021 will be held from Thursday June 24 till Sunday June 27 in Zandvoort.
All current tickets for the 2020 Festival and the 2020 After Party will remain valid for the re-scheduled event in June 2021. In the case you aren’t able to attend next year, then we will offer you a full refund. Please note that our ticket partner is currently working on a special refund platorm, which will go live on May 5, we will be able to process refunds after this date. So we kindly ask you for some patience and understanding. Once the platform goes live, we will make sure to inform you of course.
If you need a refund we can also do that, however, we would like you to consider the following;
Our industry relies on events going ahead – this is a difficult time for the dance industry across the world as we have to cancel events to protect the public. In these extraordinary circumstances, we are asking those who can afford it, to hold on to their ticket for the rescheduled event next year and not request a refund for cancelled/postponed events. In doing so, you are supporting us so we are able to still cover the costs which have already been spent in setting up the event, which will help keep our scene afloat for when the pandemic ends. We’d like to reiterate: we are only asking those who are in the financial position to not cancel their ticket to do so, we realise in these difficult times this won’t be possible for everyone.
We do understand that many of you have a lot of questions. On our website we made a special FAQ section where you can find all information and details about refunds and answers to other questions. If you still have other questions regarding this, kindly get in touch with us via email. We will try to answer you as soon as possible, but we would like to ask for your patience and understanding in these difficult times. Please follow your governments advice and stay at home as much as possible. The quicker we stop the spread, the sooner we get our nightlife back.
