As set out in our house rules, a range of weather conditions can require us to intervene, and no refunds are issued in these cases, with a few exceptions.
Friday Day-ticket holders will receive a compensation ticket by email for either Saturday or Sunday. Saturday tickets have limited availability.
All visitors who bought a Friday day ticket before we announced the Code Red measures on June 25, 2026 at 22:00 have received an email from us to claim a Saturday or Sunday compensation ticket. You can redeem it through the link in that email. Please note that Saturday tickets are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis.
The email has been sent to all eligible Friday day ticket holders, so please make sure to check your spam folder as well.
If you bought your Friday ticket after the Code Red measures were announced on June 25, 2026 at 22:00, the purchase was made with the adjusted opening times already known. In that case you are not eligible for a compensation ticket.
If you have a 4 Day Ticket, you will be compensated in a different way. We are still working out the details of this and will share more after the festival.
Our festival already meets the shade guidelines to an above average degree. The Sunset Stage, Bernies and This Is Trance are all fitted with canopies, and the new main stage has stands that offer shade as well as a breeze coming in from the sea. We warmly encourage you to make use of these spots throughout the day.
No, you cannot bring your own waterbottle onto the festival site. There are free water points across the grounds where you can refill and stay hydrated throughout the day.
We are taking a wide range of measures to help everyone stay cool and safe. There are (extra) free water points across the site so you can stay hydrated, and free sunscreen available throughout the festival. We have shaded areas, and you are welcome to cool off in the waterpool. Our first aid facilities have been expanded with cooling equipment, with additional medical staff on-site throughout the day. Re-entry is closed Friday, so that we can keep everyone’s safety and wellbeing manageable.
You are welcome to bring sunscreen in containers up to 250ml, and other toiletries in containers up to 100ml, and bags with a maximum capacity of 2 litres are permitted.
No. Today the festival still ends at 23:00. We do not have permits for extended opening hours, so we are unable to stay open any longer.
Today we are running two entrances, one on the Zandvoort side and one on the Bloemendaal side. To reach them, follow the path along the road on Boulevard Barnaart. We have scaled up our staff and they are ready for a fast security check, so you can get onto the site as quickly as possible.
Code Red is the highest weather warning the KNMI, the Dutch national weather institute, can issue. It is reserved for extreme weather that can have such a major impact on society that it becomes disruptive. This is the first time it has ever been declared in the Netherlands because of heat, with inland temperatures expected between 36 and 39 degrees, and locally up to 40. The decision is not taken lightly: the KNMI makes it together with a weather impact team that includes the police, fire services and the National Crisis Centre.
For us, this means one thing above all: keeping every emergency service and every bit of capacity available, and acting from the awareness that this is a crisis situation. We are in continuous contact with the local emergency services and the municipality to put measures in place that fit these weather conditions.
Code Red is a national measure that applies across the whole country, and even though we are right on the coast, the same rules apply to us. We have every reason to respect them. This is not about caution for its own sake, but about keeping emergency services available and keeping you, our visitors, safe.
Saturday and Sunday are currently planned to go ahead as normal. The Code Red warning applies to Friday, and we are looking at the situation together with the local emergency services and the municipality. Above all, we are truly grateful that we are able to welcome you. Should anything change, we will let you know straight away through our social media channels.
Yes, re-entry is possible only via the seaside re-entry point, and only for visitors who have already entered the festival. The seaside re-entry passage is open from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, unless stated otherwise by the organization.
Liquids are generally not allowed. If you require liquids for medical reasons, you must email info@luminosity-events.nl at least two weeks before the festival with certified medical documentation.
No. Bringing food or drinks into the festival is not allowed unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Prohibited items include (but are not limited to):
flares, flammable liquids, weapons, markers, glassware, drinks in plastic or cans, laughing gas, umbrellas, football shirts or motorcycle jackets linked to OMGs, drugs and any items deemed unsafe by security.
Bags, backpacks and purses with a maximum capacity of 2 litres are permitted on festival grounds. All other bags must be stored in a locker. You mag bring small sunscreen up to 250ml (no spray) and other small toiletries up to 100 ml. Outside water bottles are not permitted.
Yes. By entering a Luminosity Event, all visitors, artists and crew agree that Luminosity Events may request, use, edit and publish recordings made on the event grounds for promotional, commercial, editorial or archival purposes without compensation.
Please approach any member of staff, security or stewards immediately. They are there to help and ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Luminosity Events has a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment, discrimination, intimidation, hate speech, unwanted physical contact or threatening behaviour. Anyone engaging in such behaviour may be removed immediately without refund.
All Luminosity Events operate under the Dutch zero-tolerance policy. Possession, use or distribution of illegal substances is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate removal from the event and possible involvement of the police.

This year’s Luminosity Beach Festival will be using a cashless payment system. You can pay for food and drinks with your credit card, debit card or a cash card.
A cash card is a pre-loaded, reusable payment card that replaces the use of cash at the registers.
If you wish to purchase a cash card at the festival, you can do so with a credit card, debit card or with cash.
If you purchased tokens or a payment card online then please make sure to collect these at the payment card desk at the festival area.
Yes, you can use public transport to get to the event venue.
This year the Luminosity Beach Festival 2023 will take place at Bernie’s Beach Club in Zandvoort (Boulevard Barnaart 65, 2041 JA, Zandvoort, The Netherlands). We would recommend visitors of the festival to come with public transport if possible.
Zandvoort has a trainstation and there is a bus stop (bus line 81 or 84) right in front of the venue. You can plan your trip via https://9292.nl (English available as well). If you prefer to walk, it takes about 30 minutes to walk from the trainstation of Zandvoort to Bernie’s Beachclub.
Parking:
If you come by car, please keep in mind that especially during sunny days the beach is a very busy place for tourists! This means the boulevard only has a limited amount of parking spots available.

This year we will have 2 sunscreen dispenser poles available at the festival, which are there to provide free sunscreen for all our visitors. Besides that we will make sure to have sunscreen available (also for sensitive skin!) at the merchandise stand, first aid and at the toilets. Also the KWF Dutch Cancer Society will be at the festival this year with a stand.
If you want to bring your own sunscreen, please note that we only allow packaging not exceeding 250 ml (no sprays). If you have to bring your own sunscreen due to medical reasons, kindly make sure to provide us with a doctor’s note with all details, so the security team can check this at the entrance.
