Why is the Luminosity Beach Festival of 2020 not taking place?
Because of the current worldwide Coronavirus outbreak the Dutch government doesn’t allow any events this summer. That also means that our beloved beach festival in June, also can not take place. We made the decision to reschedule the festival to next year, instead of cancelling it.


When will the Luminosity Beach Festival 2021 take place?
The new dates for 2021, will be from Thursday June 24 till Sunday June 27 at Bernie’s Beachclub in Zandvoort. Also the afterparty at Club Panama in Amsterdam we had planned for June 2020, will move to next year (Sunday June 27, 2021).


Will the ticket I bought for the 2020 edition, still be valid for 2021?
If you bought a ticket for the Luminosity Beach Festival of 2020, this ticket will still be valid for the rescheduled event that will be held in June 2021. You won’t get a new ticket, your current 2020 ticket remains a valid entrance ticket for the Luminosity Beach Festival in June 2021. So make sure to keep your ticket at a safe place!


I bought a hardcopy ticket at the beachfestival in 2019 for the 2020 edition, is my hardcopy ticket still valid for the Luminosity Beachfestival of 2021?
Yes, if you have a hardcopy ticket for the Luminosity Beach Festival of 2020, this ticket will still be valid for the rescheduled event that will be held in June 2021. So you won’t get a new ticket, your current 2020 ticket remains a valid entrance ticket for the Luminosity Beach Festival in June 2021. So make sure to keep your ticket at a safe place!


I won’t be able to make it to the Luminosity Beach Festival in 2021. How can I claim a refund?

If you bought a hardcopy ticket and would like to claim a refund, kindly get in touch with us via email:  info @ luminosity-events.nl. We’re trying to answer your email in 48 hours, but kindly keep in mind that due to the high amount of e-mails it can take a bit longer. We’re going to make sure you will get your refund, but we do ask you for your patience and understanding.


I won’t be able to make it to the Luminosity Beach Festival in 2021, but instead of a refund, I would like a voucher for a future Luminosity event instead. Is that possible?
Yes, that will be possible as well. We’re looking into the option of vouchers that will be valid for a period of 3 years. Once we have more information about that, we will make sure to post it here in the FAQ section and on our website / socials.


What if I want a refund now, but later still decide to buy tickets for the Luminosity Beach Festival of 2021. Is there a chance ticketprices will go up?
Right now, we aren’t planning on raising the prices for tickets for next year’s festival. If we do decide to raise the prices for next year, it will be announced on our website and social media channels ASAP.


I bought a ticket for the Luminosity Beach Festival 2020 Afterparty at Club Panama, will this ticket still be valid for next year?
We also reschedule the afterparty from June 28, 2020 to next year. The new date will be Sunday June 27, 2021. Tickets remain valid for the new date, you don’t have to purchase a new ticket.


I won’t be able to make it to the afterparty next year, how can I claim a refund?

Please keep in mind you have to claim your refund between May 6 and 25 June.


What if I purchased a ticket via another channel than the Luminosity website?
We can only refund tickets that have been purchased via our own official channels (the Luminosity website / See Tickets (formally known as Paylogic)). If you bought your ticket via a second-hand website, please contact them for more information. Luminosity unfortunately cannot advise about tickets that were bought via second-hand parties.


Will the line up for the Luminosity Beach Festival 2021 be the same as the line up of the 2020 edition?
We are trying our very best to present you the same line up for next year’s editon. We will be working with all artists and agents involved in the next couple of months, to see if all artists we had booked for this year, will be available for next year’s edition as well.

What about the accommodation and / or flights I booked?
Luminosity doesn’t offer accommodation or travel packges. We advice you to contact the service you used to book your accommodation and / or flights. We expect companies to be flexible in these times and hopefully you will be able to move your booking to June 2021. Otherwise check with your travel insurance and see what they will be able to do for you.

Our industry relies on events going ahead – this is a difficult time for the dance industry across the world as we have to cancel events to protect the public. In these extraordinary circumstances, we are asking those who can afford it, to hold on to their ticket for the rescheduled event next year and not request a refund for cancelled/postponed events. In doing so, you are supporting us so we are able to still cover the costs which have already been spent in setting up the event, which will help keep our scene afloat for when the pandemic ends. We’d like to reiterate: we are only asking those who are in the financial position to not cancel their ticket to do so, we realise in these difficult times this won’t be possible for everyone.
